Guest Speaker: Robert North
Topic: “My bird collection and some reflections on aviculture from many years of experience.”
Robert North is from Brisbane and has been keeping birds since age 5. Over many years Robert has developed skills with finches, parrots and softbills and his expertise is widely recognized. Robert has been a guest speaker in Taiwan on racing pigeons, in India on parrots and finches, in Loro Parque on parrots and in Bali on parrots and softbills. In this talk he will focus on his current extensive mixed collection with lots of thoughts on finches leartned from of the best breeders around the world. He will then expand into some other areas with a series of short videos. Roberts presentation will emphasise that bird keeping should be about enjoying your birds.
QFS members are also invited to an aviary visit at Roberts place on Sunday 04 October 2026 from 10am – 1pm.
