Mark Jolly is a highly experienced aviculturist who followed his Grandfather into the hobby. He caught the bug early and has been breeding and chasing birds ever since. He has kept and bred a wide variety of waterfowl, pheasants, finches, parrots and Softbills! He also bred, exhibited and judged poultry mostly standard Old English Game.
Mark will discuss his current collection, which he maintains with considerable help from his wife, Jennifer. Among the finches are Red Faced and Yellow winged Pytilias, Bluecaps, Orange Cheek Waxbills, Fawn and normal Plumheads, Yellow bodied Stars, Normal Masks and Diggles.
Softbills comprise 3 species of Robin, 3 species of fairy wrens, Scarlet Honeyeaters, Golden Whistlers and both White fronted and Crimson Chats. Mark’s talk will outline how he manages this diverse collection to meet the needs of all the species. It will be fascinating.
