“Fruit Pigeons and Fairy Wrens”
Ian Brown is a highly experienced aviculturist and our vice President. For many years Ian has maintained a diverse bird collection comprising finches, parrots, lorikeets, plus several softbills and he is successful with all of them. In this talk Ian will focus on two groups of softbills – fruit pigeons and fairy wrens. This is particularly appropriate as the new regulations in Queensland open up many opportunities for finch breeders to extend their collection with a few softbills. This presentation will whet your appetite and show how these species and their nutrition can be very compatible with a finch collection. We will also have a short talk though the details aren’t clear yet. The meeting will be face to face at Morningside and also on ZOOM for members. This will be a great meeting. Be there if you can.
